Locked to Murder Nations

( Sunday afternoon, after the incentives and lists have gone up, the nations meet.

The bed is unfixed and there are some clothes hanging around which gives it a cluttered appearance but otherwise, Spain's room in Emerald Wing doesn't appear to be in bad shape.

Closing the door behind them, he'll rush around the sitting area, tossing the clothes onto the bed and into the cabinet carelessly. He'll also leave the liquor cabinet open with several glasses on top. From the looks of it, he's been using it himself.

It only takes a few seconds for him to make his last minute preparations and then he cuts straight to the point. )

We need to work together.

I feel like this is my fault for speaking too harshly at the trial.

Nothing can be done on that front. We can only defend ourselves as best we can.

I agree but I wouldn't worry about a direct attack.

After this trial, it would be easy to frame one of us if say, Kanaya were to die this week.

I suppose... I already tried to make peace with her this morning but I'm not sure how it went.

Are we planning to keep ourselves in plain sight? Even if we just stick with each other it would be easy for others to say we're just trying to make fake alibis.

Being in plain sight would mean I couldn't siesta in my room anymore...

I think we're damned if we make ourselves obvious and damned if we try to stay out of sight. In desperate situations, it's easy to read into anything.

There are sofas in the parlor. You can sleep there if you'd like. I read in there sometimes so I can look out for you.

Mm... but I think you're right. Everyone's so paranoid about everything [Himself included] that there's no real way to act innocent.

Oh, I've fallen asleep in the library a few times. ( It wasn't a bad siesta until Lydia died. ) But even I'm hesitant to sleep in an easily accessible room.

But I guess someone could break down my door and kill me in my bed too! ( L... a u g h... ing... Danger? I laugh at the face of danger. Ahahaha! Okay, no, seriously, Spain will just shrug his shoulders at this realization. ) I'll worry about where I sleep after I wake up...

In my opinion, all we can do is our very best. Do our best to stay out of trouble and do our best to get out of it when it comes.

I guess you're right. It's very difficult to predetermine these things.
