Because of you! ( If his throat wasn't so raw, he would be yelling but his voice is just a rasp when he tries. ) Kaoru died. Kanaya and Touko are gone too... it's just. It's just us! If Sonia fails I can't--

( Coughing and rocking some. Everything hurts so much. He can't think, he's in pain, he can't sleep, he can't eat, everything is so awful. The symptoms are severe but there's something else bothering him. )

( It feels just like home and he's not sure if he's talking about Sonia and the others or his people anymore. )

Spain, listen to me. [His tone is serious but not cruel.] Your people are safe. If you want to support Miss Nevermind, don't make her worry about you any more than she has to.

( He's shaking his head at Lithuania, head in his hands now. )

If she dies...

( And he freezes, completely still and silent for a second before looking up through his fingers. His words are a hiss, )

If Sonia dies, I'll kill you.

[Lithuania stares back at him. He looks too tired to put much of an edge onto his expression, though.] What would that get you?

... We would lose.

[vytis]

You can't forfeit the lives of your people for that--not when you've already saved them.

[pasodoble]

If Sonia and I die, we still lose.

[vytis]

You're not dead. She isn't either.

[pasodoble]

( No words, just eyes looking directly at Lithuania. Or at least, the best he can. He seems to be out of focus or unable to completely focus on him. For a moment, it looks like Spain is looking for something-- )

Why are you really playing?

[vytis]

[pasodoble]

( Squinting and

jesus christ his head hurts enough without whatever mindfuck is going on right now okay. )

... I think so?

[vytis]

...Maybe I'll tell you later. [He shrugs.] Goodnight, Spain.

[And Lithuania leaves.]

( Don't you dare walk out on Spain you!!! There's another fit of coughing and he's still in the midst of it when he gasps out at Lithuania, )

We're frien--...!

( And he's cut off by his own retching. Screw you, Lithuania. )

[Actually Lithuania pauses before he leaves when Spain speaks again, turning to look at him again. He will even wait for Spain to finish retching, because he looks a little confused.]

[pasodoble]

( Is that blood on his hands now jesus christ is this going to become a thing now too. Spain will continue longer and when it's over, he wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and looks to see if Lithuania is gone or not. )

The memories. ( He sounds breathless. ) Stiles. ( Just getting out bits and pieces. ) We're countries

in his world...!

( It something Spain put together a loooong time ago but he never said anything because haha, the idea of having to kill a friend from home in this place, wow. )

I think... ( And his brow furrows as he sways some. ) We're... supposed to be... to be... ?

( What was he trying to say again? He's having a difficult time thinking again. )
